What a carry on at the Bradford International Film Festival

The great thing about being a journalist is that sometimes you get to meet some great people.

Thanks to the Bradford International Film Festival, which is on this week at the National Media Museum, I got to have a really nice telephone chat with Mark Kermode and met, in person, the great Barbara Windsor.

Mark was a smashing interview – you can read the fruits of our chat here.

And I wasn’t actually interviewing Babs – that fell to my colleague Emma Clayton, who’s in the centre of this picture. I just went along to say hello, which was well worth doing because I got a peck on the cheek from Ms Windsor. Which is the sort of thing I wish I could go back in time and tell to the young kid watching for the first time Carry On Camping in awe.
